Senator Romney continued to defend the filibuster—a critical tool of the Senate—and push back on Democrats’ attempts to enact a partisan, federal takeover of our elections.

In 2021, Senator Romney was also able to make great strides in passing a bipartisan infrastructure bill and bringing awareness to the rising China threat and advancing Utah priorities in Washington.

This year, we’ve witnessed tragedies around the world and faced tremendous difficulties here at home. May we all find comfort and peace in the acts of service—both large and small—that we witness during this season, and throughout the year.

Senator Romney celebrated major legislative wins that will bolster Utah’s role in our national security, hold China accountable for its grave human rights abuses, and help Utah and the West respond to the historic number of wildfires.

This week, months after Senator Romney’s legislation had passed the Senate, a diplomatic boycott of the Beijing Games became the official policy of the United States.

Senator Romney urged his Democratic colleagues to find common ground on key issues to our country’s well-being, including pushing back against China’s slave-labor economy, ensuring parents have ample choices on child care, and passing responsible appropriations legislation.
